It is now a done deal. Ibrahimovic is now a Barcelonista and the most expensive one ever to boot at 66 million euros. Samuel Eto’o goes the other way to Inter in the same deal. It looks as if Barcelona has played their off-season a little smarter than Real Madrid. Sure, Real Madrid look good on paper but I don’t know if it is going to translate into actual chemistry on the field. Ibrahimovic seems the perfect fit for Barca with his height to work with the smaller Messi and the quickness of Henry. I hate to say this but I might actually be leaning toward Barca this year. It will definitely be a much more interesting La Liga this year for sure.

Wow, someone looks quite happy. Maybe he has found a career after football.

So it seems there will never be an end to this summers transfer dealings with some of them dragging to a pointless end. It looks as if Real Madrid may get their man after all. I’m not really sure why they want him but nonetheless they are apparently poised to throw away the sum of £31 Million on Xabi Alonso and finally complete this saga. Is it me or does he not ride the bench in Madrid ?

In other news, it seems Barcelona have asked for more in the Ibrahimovic for Eto’o swap. Inter now appear to want Eto’o AND Hleb AND 50 Million Euros for Ibrahimovic. I can’t really say that I blame them. Go for it Barca, you are getting rid of 2 players you don’t want for a superstar forward. It sounds like a no-brainer to me. (more…)

I’m not sure whether to throw her a sandwhich or just stare. If you really want to freak out, look at the pic from just the shoulders down and tell me it doesn’t look like Ronaldo !! No, not the fat one…the other one.

I think we all know Real Madrid have practically lost their minds this offseason with outrageous transfers. If somehow it was possible for them to continue,  let’s look at some scenarios of what else they might do with all that money they seem to have.

1. Buy Newcastle Utd and use the players as the wait staff for there chartered flights. Hey, why not, right ? It’s not like they have better things to do.

2. Finish off buying the rest of the Dutch National Team. I mean hey, they’ve already got all the tough pieces the rest should be easy.

3.  Hire Oasis as there warm-up band for all home matches. Wonderwall anyone ?

4. Hire a secret staff of “hot girls” to follow around all the Barca players and “tire them out” before matches. I’m guessing this would be the best bang for their euro (all puns free of charge).

5. Line the field with euros before every match just because they can and they like all the colors. It makes them smile.
